Giumarello's Restaurant

This restaurant is beyond compare! The service is outstanding, with every detail attended to. Food is incomparable every time. I have eaten there on numerous occasions, both in the dining room and in the lounge/bar area. I do not consider myself a "wannabe" as the previous reviewer suggests is the meat of the crowd :) I go back repeatadly for the personal, highly attentive service and the out of this world food! Most patrons are professional people and the crowd is generally fun & pleasant in the newly expanded lounge area. This is my favorite "city" hot spot, but so close to home. I find the staff to be welcoming & warm.... no stuffy attitudes, just real people busting their tails to make sure everyone has a great experience. Dishes I highly recommend are: Tuna tar-tar, lobster mac n cheese, stuffed veal chop & crab cocktail. It's hard to choose a favorite, as so many are so good! Deserts and drink offerings are just the icing on the cake. There is an expansive martini menu with every possible (enjoyable)combination you can think of, as well as a variety of wines to complement your meal. The desert tray is always hard to refuse, with old stand by's like banana cream pie & tiramisu to ever changing offerings like unbelievable carrot cake, whiskey cake and real italian gelati (not the garbage the water ice stand sells :) This is upscale dining with realistic prices - not overinflated, not cheap - after all sometimes you get what you pay for. There is no better place to eat in South Jersey!

Food and bar are good/very good. Service is average. Front desk the worst, with major attitudes and unprofessional at best. Caters to clientele that border on snobbish, or as I would say "wanna be's".



Unfortunate, as the establishment could do much better.
