HORRIBLE HORRIBLE PLACE TO LIVE!! my move in date was set for August 8th which was a wednesday, well we didnt get to move in till the weekend because the apartment smelt like “P” so badly it was unbearable. we immediately went to the front office and complained and they claimed they had cleaned the carpets twice and the front office girl told us that her boss told her to keep going to the apartment randomly all day to spray air freshener. after fighting over the phone the next two days the best they would do was clean the carpet another two times. by the time we moved in Friday the smell was a little more bearable but my BF's mom ended up coming that Sunday and doing it herself and everything was fine. Next our air conditioner looks like it’s from the 80's, I know being up stairs doesn’t help but for the first month we couldn’t get the air down below 80!! we of course called a couple of times but they only came out once and refilled the frion (spell check that sorry) and that lasted about a week then we were back to HOT HOT HOT! and they refuse to fix it or replaceit. THEN a couple of weeks ago when my BF got home he saw a leak that was coming from the air vent he immediately called, we ended up having a guy come to our apartment 3 times that night because they couldn’t get it to stop leaking, Finally the next day they came and fixed it right. we are lucky our carpet doesn’t smell moldy from all the water on the carpet. they never came and fixed damaged ceiling from the water like we were promised either. Next our appliances are from the 50's our frig doesn’t even have a light in it and our Stove wont heat up hot enough to cook anything! I tried cooking cookies in it the other day on 500 F. for 20 minutes and the bottoms came out burnt and the tops not cooked all the way! since last Monday we have been promised we would get a new stove and today is Friday the 4th and still have not gotten one. The last and most upsetting problem to me is at the beginning when we had the “p” carpet there was a "maintence man" who came and talked to us. I call him a maintence man because that is what he told me was and never gave name. Now my brother, who talked us into living at this place, works for the owner at different apartment complex so he confirmed this for me. That "maintance man" was the owner he lied, had he told me he was the owner i would have been a lot ruder to him but i'm not going to take the apartment problems out on maintence people when its the owners responsibility to take care of these things! My BF and I literally come home every day counting the days we can move out! These apartments are old falling apart and while the price seems like a good one I feel like we are paying way more than need be. Oh also they say internet and cable are included which is true BUT the internet is slow if its actually working the log in page when you get on doesn’t even look like its from America and it automatically logs you off every 24 hrs. And if you want a cable box with a guide and DVR you have to get the box yourself, so now we pay for cable and internet as well. The Utilities are not cheap, we have gotten two bills already and one was 177 and the newest 199 which is way too much for the space of the apartment. DO NOT LIVE HERE PLEASE LISTEN TO ME!!
