The scope of hand/occupational therapy services offered includes wound and scar management, edema control, pain control, the range of motion exercises, work hardening, work stimulation, strengthening, static and dynamic splint fabrication, and dexterity training among others.
Frozen Shoulder
I went there for a frozen shoulder issue. Darsie was fantastic. She patiently answered all my questions in layman terms, and kept my progress steadily moving forward. Everyone who works there had a great attitude and the atmosphere was very positive. The women working at the front desk took care of any schedule changes and billing questions like pros. I initially went there just because it was close to home, but left impressed with all of the great help I received.
Tennis Elbow
The elbow has a medial and a lateral component, which makes the difference in wrist flexors and extensors. The lateral epicondyle (the outside part of the elbow) is the location of the wrist extensors. These muscles help to raise the wrist back towards you. Any tendon irritation at this site is referred to as lateral epicondylitis or tennis elbow. The medial epicondyle (the inside part of the elbow) is the location of the wrist flexors. These muscles help to lower down the wrist. Any tendon irritation at this site is referred to as medial epicondylitis or golfer's elbow.

To expedite the injured worker’s return to work, Clinton Work Rehab is equipped with a state of the art heated aquatic facility along with separate locker rooms for women and men. These locker rooms have showers with a comfortable changing area to allow the injured worker to transition between land and aquatic therapy. Aquatic therapy has many benefits such as providing resistance for strength training without stressing the joints, loosening and relaxing muscles with the warmth of the water and increasing blood flow which will decrease healing time and aid in recovery.
Manual Therapy
Active Physical Therapy Program encompasses a wide range of treatment methods for injuries, conditions, and illnesses. Active’s Therapists focus not only on treating your condition and restoring pain-free function, but also on preventing future injuries from taking place through patient education. Our Physical Therapists perform hands-on manual therapy in conjunction with specific exercises for your condition. These exercises can include; stretching, strengthening, endurance, balance, and aerobics.The goal of each exercise will vary but are often designed to increase flexibility, reduce stress on joints, strengthen muscles, and/or mobilize joints. Our Therapists are focused on helping our patients achieve their goals to return to normal daily activities at home, work, and play and preventing future injury.
