The practice is proud to be one of the oldest in New Jersey and has one of the most experienced midwives in the nation. Founder Dr. Lonnie Morris is one of the most established and respected leaders in the movement to normalize birth in New Jersey and the surrounding areas. She has mentored hundreds of midwives over the years to ensure that safe, natural birth experiences are available for women in New Jersey and throughout the world. The Childbirth and Women's Wellness Center staff members work together to ensure patients receive the timely, comprehensive, quality care needed for healthy pregnancies and births.When needed, the team collaborates with outstanding physicians. They enjoy the full support of the administration and nursing staff at Hackensack Meridian Health at Pascack Valley Hospital in Westwood and Hackensack Meridian at Mountainside in Montclair. The Childbirth and Women's Wellness Center team delivers babies in outstanding hospitals and two birth centers, which provide the comfort patients deserve in a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
