South Lake Hospital

Stay away, nurses don't follow doctors orders, when you tell on them, they will ignore your calls for pain meds, and they'll NOT empty your porta potty so it's left to over flow. It took asking 3 nurses and 4 hours to get toilet paper.

STAY AWAY PLEASE!!!! HORRIBLE PLACE, DOCTOR DID NOT CARE AND DISCHARGE MY FAMILY MEMBER WHILE HE WAS HAVING A SMALL SEIZURE.
THE STUPID DOCTOR SEN HIM HOME AND MY FAMILY MEMBER ENDED UP ADMITED NEXT DAY INTO AN ICU UNIT AT ANOTHER HOSPITAL!
VERY UNCARING STUPID DOCTORS AND NURSES ! STAY AWAY IF YOU WANT TO LIVE!

The staff and doctors are terrific!! Very attentive and helpful! I acted like a child and the let me act out with them just using a stern hand. They knew what to do even then. I highly recommend this place!

The doctors in this hospital don't seem to care. My husband was told he would be leaving 32 hours ago. Been waiting for a doctor to see him for THIRTY TWO HOURS!!! It seems as though they are milking all the money they can out of our insurance. Absolutely ridiculous!!! I will never step foot in this awful hospital again!!!

Worst place to bring anyone. Everyone in town I've spoken to has a nightmarish experience here. I spent over an hour waiting for my 9 year old in pain--they hadn't even checked his temperature, we finally walked out!! No one even questioned us, no one there cares!! We watched a man in a wheelchair waiting right next to their desk convulsing and in pain--took them 25 minutes before they finally moved him for help--I hope. Who knows where they wheeled that poor man!! Someone needs to look into this hospital!!!

do not bring your worse enemy there. we were left alone for over 8 hours. terrible terrible terrible. my husband could have died. no one cared, staff was nice, so what? they did nothing, uncaring horrible place. i had to BEG BEG BEG for help.



as a result got the min care possible, 1 week later we found out my husband has stage 4 cancer. but they just discharged us and could give a damn. PLEASE PLEASE if you love the person, and even if you don't DO NOT BRING them to this place. they will speed up one's dead.

RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!!! I know a nurse there that was responsible for the death of a patient and she still works there!! My husband was there and the Dr. sent him home too soon and he had to be readmitted costing us another c0-pay!! They do not care about you, they care about the almighty dollar!!

The facility is great. Very clean and organised. Extremely comfortable and relaxing. The staff was fantastic. Very informative, communicative. Nurses, Nurse Technicians, Charge Nurses took very good care of my wife. I was so overwelmed at how great these people were. The major set back my wife and I experienced was the way the discharging doctor, Joseph Armotrading ll handled the discharge process. After keeping us waiting all day until after 7pm, then turned around to tell us that he was not at home sleeping. His action was very unprofessional. Though he killed the vibes, I will not let him over ride the fact that everyone else was fantastic. I will recommend that hospital in a heartbeat. Try avoid having that doctor, there are other great ones.

I had total knee replacement in 2010 aand except for the first night nurse (she was awful), all the other nurses were terrific. I asked her to call my surgeon so that he can order more pain killers but she refused to do so. I explained to her that I had previous back, neck, shoulders and knee surgeries and also suffer from fybromyalgia but she just said to press the pain med button. I told my surgeon what happened and he took caare of "the problem". My surgeon was terrific. He is very dedicated and compassionated too his patients.my room was also great, very clean. In march of this year, I ended up in the ER. I left without seeing a doctor after 2 1/2 hrs. I went to Doc's In and they saw me within 15 minutes. So. I give my surgeon a 5 star rating. The staff a 4 ( because of the bad nurse) and a 0 to the ER services.

I was an inpatient at South Lake Hospital 2 separate times in May, 2008. I was admitted through the ER both times and I cannot say enough good thing about the ER doctors, nurses and staff, as well as the floor nurses and ultrasound techs. I really felt that the floor nurses were attentive, but not bothersome and were as forthcoming as they could be when answering my questions. I would not hesitate to return there if the need arises.

I went into South Lake Hospital the end of August, 2009. for a total hip replacement. After my treatment from the staff, I would not return unless I just had no choice. I consider my treatment as being abused. Only by the grace of God, was my hip not dislocated by the rough and violations of my hip movement restriction that was done to me, in needing a bed pan placed under me. The second time I was catherized ( sorry for the miss spelling) the nursers aid was pissed off about having to do it and was EXTREMELY ROUGH and leaning on the same side that my surgery done on the same morning.

I was never given or offered any help with bathing in any way. I always had to ask for my pain medication. I have talked with at least three other persons that have been in this hospital within the past six months and say that they will NEVER return, for many of the same issues.

I really don't know where they find their nurses aid, however 80% of them need to be retrained or fired.

Your night shift is a joke. It sounds as if they are having parties all night long, good luck getting any sleep. And I got tired of being able to hear them complain about and making fun of other patience's near by.

South Lake Hospital is broke, and it needs fixed. I intend on filling a formal complaint.

i was very nervous about giving birth and the ob staff was wonderful. even after having to go through 20 hours of labor then have a c section they were right there to help me

As nervous as I was this was the best I was ever treated in a hospital. Thank you
