Elaina Higgins NP- She did not even see my husband in the room, literally stood in the doorway of the room. He was extremely sick and vomiting, would not look at his vomit, had to beg her to order a test to see if it was positive for blood, said they dont do that test in the office, had to send it out- there are quick tests for occult blood in the office which require a small sample and a reagent- if it turns blue..its positive, would not do it- he was positive for blood, had to beg for an anti nausea medication- injection- he was so miserable-we honestly got a letter that said that my husband was discharged from the practice - could not even imagine why- -i called the manager, said it was due to non compliance...i about laughed, my husband is the most compliant person i know, I told the manager, she was trying to cyoa because he tested positive for blood and had a GI bleed and she didnt do anything about it, this was the most ridiculous care i have ever seen in a nurse, im embarressed for her honestly. Im a nurse myself, and would never deny seeing a pt because they were vomiting, just really poor care. called the office manage and notified of her behavior, I am going to get copies of my his visit that day, and I will turn her into the TN board of nursing
