Nickelodeon

Not a customer-friendly place. We were pleasantly welcomed by three people, two of whom appeared to be owners (since they were not dressed as the wait staff.) There were five in our party and we only saw one other occupied table in the restaurant. Nobody was seated at the bar and we were the only people seated in the non-smoking section. We sat down and ordered and presented a coupon. The waitress, who had just set down my napkin on top of the coupon, told us that she would take it when she totaled the bill. Then she said that she needed to check with the owner. She returned and said that the coupon was from several years ago and they no longer accepted it. We showed her that it was not yet expired, and she still said that they have not accepted them for years. She said she was sorry and said she would put in our order, but we told her to wait. We overheard her tell the others that we were rethinking our order. We told her to just bring us the bill for our beverages. The owners not only came over to apologize for not accepting the coupon, but they disappeared from view. This was quite obvious because we were the only people in the one section of the restaurant and we had to walk through the bar area to exit, and it was completely empty. At least if you go to a place like Outback or Chili's and experience a problem, you get a visit from the management and they try to keep your business. We felt like they did not care. We use coupons a lot in order to afford eating out, and this restaurant regularly has coupons in the fliers that we receive in the mail. If they had at least offered us the same deal that they would have given a person with a newspaper coupon. There are many restaurants in Clarkston, and we are not likely to return to this one.
