Hired Joel for a divorce, he was not my first attorney. My ex is abusive as they come and he and his attorney refused to present any documents. Was they typical run up my fees to bully me. So when I spoke with Joel and read his profile I felt I needed a strong litigator. His profile was impressive - that is it. He is terrible, no follow through which is so important. I lost everything in my divorce due to him being unprepared. His fees are outrageous, he charges you every time he reviews a document if he actually reviews them. It was clear he didn't as he was unprepared, late to court and did not litigate anything. If you question him, he gets upset yells at you and blames everyone else. How was it my fault he was unprepared? Please do research on him prior to even talking with him...he talks a good game and he will say "Game Plan". He has sued well over a 100 clients as he will not even discuss his invoicing which is vague and in instances unethical by standards. Don't be his next victim. Learn from my mistake.
