In operation since 1969, Metzenbaum Sheltered Industries is a nonprofit corporation that is governed by a board of directors. It is a program within the Department of Adult Services and provides employment opportunities to mentally disabled citizens in Geauga County, Ga. Its adult services provide access to functional assessments, and, independent living skills, community-based, and personal and social work adjustment training. The firm also offers retirement and ancillary services. Additionally, it provides a variety of vocational rehabilitative services. The firm has a staff of more than 150 employees and maintains a production space of over 15,000 square feet. Metzenbaum Sheltered Industries is located in Chesterland, Ohio.
