Derrick is the best!! He did my first tattoo, so he ran me through the steps of making sure everything is safe if I ever get one somewhere else and even made sure I was good with the needle before he started. The artwork was amazing and I am definitely going back to him when I want my next one!!! :)

Overall

I had been thinking about getting my other nostril pierced for my birthday. I decided to go to Ink Spot tattoo after briefly reviewing their shop online. I walked in spontaneously a few days before my birthday and it was a little awkward when I went inside. There was a guy and a girl sitting behind the counter and they were cordial but kind of cold. Neither of them introduced themselves, even when I said I was going to go though with the nose piercing. I previously had gotten (and healed successfully and uneventfully) a nostril piercing on the other side of my nose so Louisianna (whose name I got from my waiver) didn't explain anything about the procedure and didn't offer aftercare instructions until I asked. She also had me pick out jewelry from the display case in and took it directly back into the piercing room without sterilizing it. I should have left at this point. She took me and my boyfriend to the piercing room, wiped down my nose with alcohol and then took great care in marking my nose to get it to match my other one precisely (for which I am grateful for). She took both her needles and her clamps out of sealed packages and took a bit to set up while we chatted. When I asked her, she said that she had been piercing for a total of 5 years; a little inexperienced, but I was still willing to give it a shot. The piercing itself was painful-much more painful than I remembered my first nostril piercing being. She poked me with the needle once before even doing the piercing, SLOWLY put the needle through my nose, and then stuck the inside of my nose with the needle on the way out. She bent the jewelry so that it would accommodate the swelling, but it was so long it kept poking the inside of my nose. I think most of the mistakes she made were pretty much due to inexperience. I'm not a piercer (nor do I claim to be) but I personally trust someone with a little more experience under their belt. I will not be returning to ink spot again for a piercing. Ill be going to Keith at Cowpok for all of my work --as should anyone who reads this.

Very poor. Got 2 tattoos and a nose piercing there. Never should have went. Piercing got so badly infected the jewlery had to be cut to be taken out. 2nd tattoo got screwed up, had to have someone else fix it. Never again. Very rude, guy was over an hour late to the appointment. Wouldn't recommend

I love my new tattoo!

I just recently got tattooed at Ink Spot by Tony. He was helpful, clean, and professional. My tattoo came out amazing and I love it! I also got pierced by Leanna in March. She was very informative about my piercing and the healing process. I can't wait to get more ink!

Excellent

I went to ink spot with an idea for my next tattoo. The artist I talked to was very helpful and open to my idea and texted me a picture the next day with a drawing that I loved. I made an appointment for that week and the tattoo turned out awesome. I came to write my review and saw some of the past ones and I disagree with them completely. The artists at ink spot are friendly, helpful and put out some great work. I would definitely recommend them and can't wait to make my next appointment!

Absolutely Horrific

I got what was supposed to be a pair of angel wings tattooed on my entire back there by Ed without checking his portfolio because I was naive and thought since I gave him a picture of the tattoo I wanted he would be able to replicate it. Not even close. I happen to be an experienced artist and know that a pair of wings is a fairly simple task and he couldn't have made it look any worse. I get told all the time by the tattoo artists I work with at my shop that the feathers look like bananas and the shading is horrific. The lines are shakey and obviously uneven, it looks like the dude was riding a jetski while digging into my back with a jackhammer. Which is exactly what it felt like by the way. I'm apprenticing for tattooing now and I have to spend probably about a year practicing drawing steady lines alone and this Ed guy lied to me and told me he'd been tattooing for 4 years. But I happen to work with the guy that trained him now and he says Ed had only been tattooing for ONE YEAR. And Ed owns the shop! He took a huge backpiece that should have taken at least four sittings and crammed it all into one sitting and hence my back swelled and the tattoo was excrutiating. Over all, my tattoo is an abomination. These people are NOT artists, don't let them permanently ruin your skin because they only care about your money.

Worst shop ever

I have a tattoo from that shop & got a staph infection after it took 6 weeks to heal. It now looks like crap. I guess it was my fault for not checking their stuff out, but I didnt know both artists have only been tattooing for a year or two. The owner doesnt even have a tattoo. That should tell ya something. Take a look @ their portfolios & have a good laugh, looks like a descent shop, but you can dress up a turd, still stinks tho

Run fast!!!!!!!

I had an appointment for 5:00 and at 8:00 he finally went to take me. When I told him I thought the rose was too big before he went any further he told me he was going to go home because he had a bad day and to come back tomorrow, 3 hours of waiting for NOTHING!!!! Then I get a phone call and get called every name under the sun and told if I came in I would get my a** kicked (I am a female and he is a male, I guess it must make him feel like a real man to threaten a women lol) I guess when you go to this tattoo parlor you DO NOT get to get the tattoo the way you want it, it's all about them!!!!!

Ink Spot

DO NOT GO HERE FOR A TATTOO!!!! I received a tattoo from one of their artist and it is the worst work I have ever had done. They water down the ink, dont know what they are doing and when you try to contact anyone in charge they dont have any numbers. They are quite possible the worst tattoo shop I have ever been too. Just so you know I have 10 Tattoos so this was not a first experience. Please head this warning and dont go there.
