Specter Off Road

I bought a cover from these folks. The cover has proven to have some sort of obvious defect in that the elastic pops/rips when trying to install it. I reached out to SOR for an exchange or return and they offered me an 'inspection' if I paid for shipping to and from. They clearly are not prepared to stand by their 'pit bull' tested products. I cannot help but feel as though someone just reached into my wallet, grabbed four crisp $100 bills and then told me to beat it. DON'T BELIEVE THE HYPE!!!

I am a transmission shop in Texas and needing some parts for a 1977 Landcruiser I called Specter Off Road for parts. I got my parts, which included a whole transmission and found the transfer case bearing/gasket kit damaged from shipping. I called Specter and spoke to Paul who I believe is the manager. I told him the gaskets damaged were for the top of the transfer case and the gasket that goes in between the case and transmission. He said he would ship them out friday and I would receive them by tuesday. Tuesday came and no gaskets. I called tuesday and got a tracking number. I tracked the package and found out they wouldn't arrive till wednesday(apparently spending $1300 with them doesn't justify overnight delivery). I finally get the gaskets and Paul sent me a gasket for the top of the transmission-again I purchased an entire transmission. I called Paul back to tell him what he did and he said "well that's what you ordered" and acted like a complete a**. I told him never mind and I will get my gaskets somewhere else. If I could give them less than one star I would as being in the retail business I know it is important to take care of your customer and listen to what they say. Paul is a complete idiot, has the manners of a 5 year child and will never get another dime from me. I hope if you read this you will buy your parts somewhere else(ie Landcruisers.com) because if they mess up, it's your fault.
