We purchased a puppy and not even 48 hours later it died do to health issues, they wouldn't disclose the autopsy results, but did refund our money..I can't believe they stay in business

Do not even consider purchasing a puppy from here. When we purchased our puppy at the Kennel when we noticed she was coughing. We mentioned it to the staff, who said she was fine and had been checked by a vet the night prior. Two days later we brought the dog to the vet for a wellness visit (which is required by the warranty) and the vet said she had advanced pneumonia, which would not have developed in the 2 days since we had owned her. She had also said that her condition was so bad that she might have to be sent to the ER. This visit resulted in a $450+ vet bill. When we called Puppies Galore they said we should didn’t have to treat her at the vet and that we had the option to bring her to the Kennel for treatment. Who in their right mind would tell a vet to stop treatment of a sick 3 lb dog so that we could bring her back to the kennel at a later point in time? We called the kennel to discuss the bill, who had told us the claim was going to the insurance company. After a month of waiting (and repeated calls) we come to find that the “claims department” is the owner of the Kennel, who not surprisingly rejected our claim. I find it absolutely unacceptable and unconscionable to sell a dog for $1000+ and then expect the new owners two days later to have to foot a vet bill for illness caught at the Kennel.
