Bought used for the first time and I was not disappointed. Answered all my questions, the pistol was better than described, the sale was easy and the shipping was fast. Even though he is not local he will still be my first call from now on.
I made a purchase by phone from Alabama. The transaction went very smooth and owner was very nice to deal with. I will definitely be shopping at The Arms Room in the future.
I purchased an AR from an online vendor and called the owner of The Arms Room for permission to have the rifle sent to their store. After my request was approved, the owner later began pressing the fact that he sold the same rifle, but for $60 dollars more. Although he wanted my business, he was unwilling to budge on the price. He tried to calculate my shipping, tax and the FFL transfer fee, which still did not make up for the difference in price. After declining to go with buying from him, he simply hung up on me. Today the UPS order tracker stated that the gun shop refused delivery. AFTER agreeing to it beforehand and having me ship the gun to the store.
The man who runs the store has no integrity and is extremely short-tempered. Even their firearm and gunsmithing prices are 20-25% more expensive than other local and online shops (but that's a different issue).

Edit: I find it interesting that your response does not address a single one of my complaints.
I do encourage anyone to review the transcript (if it even exists) of our phone call. You'll notice that Matt dodges the issues at hand. You'll also discover that Matt was the one who turned hostile when pricing was discussed.
Finally, you'd be able to see that Matt has lied in his reply (which is an expected response from one who lacks ethics when doing business with clients). You claimed that I threatened to destroy your reputation online if I did not have the rail installed for free, which is false. I stated that I would spread my reviews of my bad experience only after you suddenly and unnecessarily turned hostile and named-called.

Thanks for your review of my business Mr. Lo, sorry your experience wasnt 100% satisfying; I strive my hardest to offer the best selection, service, and cheapest FFL transfer in town, its a real shame I didnt live up to that. Ill take our experience dealing with each other over the phone(not in person) and reflect, learn, and grow from it. I did want to address one concern I had, you had something completely different to say on my Facebook page Mr. Lo (posted as Jim Greene) which, when both stories are combined you get a fairly accurate account of the whole story (Ill post the Facebook review below). The troubling part is you left out the part where you left me an open ended threat by saying ill destroy your reputation online by posting bad reviews about your business if you dont put the rail on my gun for free. I didnt think that was very nice so I decided to terminate the phone call as well as any future business dealings with you at that very moment. Thankfully you called on my pseudo phone number issued by YP where all calls are recorded and Im able to print a transcript of the conversation(available to anyone, just stop by). Below is the facebook review left by Mr. Lo: I was interested in purchasing a Troy Delta rail for my AR15 and inquired about it with The Arms Room. They currently sell it for $245. This rail is sold for $199 on primaryarms, $187 on cheaperthandirt, and $209 at the Hyatt Guns local store nearby. I assumed that since they overcharged their items that they would install the rail for free (if you read the description of this rail, it says that no gunsmithing is needed). But no, they charge $65 for the installation if it goes smoothly;. When I mentioned that Hyatt didnt even charge for installation, the owner started yelling on the phone. He had the audacity to call me difficult and said that he would refuse to put the rail on for me even if I offered more money. First of all, the owner of this company is a crook trying to hustle for an extra dollar. Secondly, he does not give respect to his clients. The solution is simple. Go to any other local gunshop or order online. Youll save money and deal with mature, honest, and knowledgeable people.
I have bought multiple guns from the owner of the arms room and I would not take my money anywhere else. Great prices and a great person. What is not to love!? Great that he's a veteran as well!!!
I have bought multiple guns and plenty of ammo from him. Its a nice local shop, better than competitive prices. From what I've seen he has beaten everyone else in town.
Best gun store I've been to in NC. I will go back for my next purchase.
We have dealt with The Arms Room since they opened and have found their pricing
to be 10 to 15 percent off retail. I am more inclined to deal with an owner like Matt, just so I can benefit from his expertise and knowledge when it comes to buying a firearm. As a consumer, I would rather deal face to face with an Army Veteran who knows the firearm industry and is willing to help you make an informed decision, rather than a clerk standing behind a counter who will repeat whatever he has been told to sell a product. I would definitely recommend my family & friends to purchase their firearms from The Arms Room.
I recently went to the store to purchase a gun as a gift for a family member. The owner was extremely patient and informative-as I do not know much about guns. I will definitely be going back and be recommending this store!
Great atmosphere and very knowledgeable sales rep. Taught me a lot about my glock 19 before i walked out
