Residence Inn by Marriott Charlotte Uptown

Room was very large & nice....But the bed is hard as a brick & small.We were going to check out. But the gentlemen at the front desk suggested a piece of foam & would have it sent to our room.It never came until we told the next shift. The assistant manager of housekeeping brought it to us to put on ourselves...Wow we are not lazy but we are paying over $100+ a night.Anyways the another gentleman came and put it on.Other than that nice hotel but would not stay there again due to the beds.

We had to go to charlotte for my daughter's special needs cheerleading competition. We had originally reserved a room at an "upper class" hotel b/c they had an indoor pool. Upon getting there at 4 am we find out they only have a parking garage that our full size van cannot fit in. They did offer (this is also a marriott company) to have us park at the residence inn and they would shuffle us the 6 blocks but we were irritated b/c we had my daughter's equipment, powerchair, and our luggage. So, we just ended up staying at The Residence Inn.At first, we were disappointed b/c there was no pool, but it was less complicated, comfortable from the moment we got in our room, and all the people were so nice and helpful. We ended up forgetting about the pool entirely and ordered room service and stayed in out of the cold. On top of our weekend being relaxing, we left my cell phone there, they called said they had it, and I got it in 1 DAY!!! They really are nice and it's just nice to know that people still take the time to be the company they say they are.
