This is the worst legal representation I have ever experienced!! Right AFTER I paid for the lawyer to draft and send a letter to the homeowner who dug on my property, George Sperry suddenly told me that he was not qualified for this matter—even though he's a real estate attorney.

George Sperry should have told me during consultation–BEFORE any action was taken—that he was not experienced in this area of litigation. If he had done so, I would have simply sought another experienced attorney to go forward with.

To add insult to injury, Mr. Sperry had the audacity to say that I should let this problem go since pursuing this matter would have cost more than the property damage done by the neighbor. The legal matter was never about the money; this legal matter was about my integrity. Because Mr. Sperry already sent the letter and suddenly noted his lack of experience, he has wasted my time and greatly damaged my reputation.

I do not know what went through his mind when George Sperry first accepted to represent me during this period. If he thought that this legal matter was a simple "open and close case" where he gets paid a fee, go draft and send a letter, and assume everything will work itself out, then he is gravely mistaken.

My advice to Sperry: When a potential client seeks legal advice or representation from you, NOTE your areas of expertise and outline whether or not you are qualified for the legal issue at hand.
