        Carmel Hills, located on the south side of Charlotte, is licensed by the state of North Carolina as a Continuing Care Retirement Community. This faith based organization maintains more than 40 independent apartment units in various locations on the campus as well as their Assisted Living which has the highest ranking that the state of NC gives. The community is comprised of 15-acres of woodlands, open areas with flowering shrubs, and a lake. With its vaulted ceilings, exposed beams, and natural settings, Carmel Hills is a retreat from the fast pace of city life. Carmel Hills also provides transportation services for medical appointments, grocery shopping, banking, and field trips. Its Assisted Living offers assistance with activities of daily living, including medication, grooming, bathing, dressing, toileting, ambulating and feeding. The charges for the Assisted Living are a flat rate based on the room occupied, not the resident's level of care.         visitor who had a tour

        Carmel Hills is appealing because it is Christian, (which is important to us) and is small enough to have a casual homey family atmosphere.

        Very warm atmosphere

        The staff is very nice. The campus is beautiful and the facilities are pleasant and feel like a real home.
