Hired Julia to represent me in a nasty divorce. She was a sweetheart to me until I handed over my $4500 retainer. Then she was unavailable at all times. In the first hearing, she was unprepared and she had her cell phone ringing in the courtroom! She didn't return my calls for TWO MONTHS. I went to her office and she got irate with me for showing up without an appointment even though I was as nice as could be and just wanted advice. She agreed to a bifurcated, no-fault divorce when my wife was guilty of adultery and I had PROOF, leaving me vulnerable for alimony. She traveled to my wife's attorney's office (an hours drive) and billed me $200/hr. My wife kept my child from me, harassed and threatened me daily, but Julia NEVER stood up for me a single time. She sat in a settlement hearing and never opened her mouth or asked a single question in FOUR HOURS, while my wife's attorney threatened me. I fired her and had to hire another attorney. She then sent me a bill for another $1,000!!

Julia was very helpful and efficient through my divorce. Took personal interest in me, I felt like I was her only client. I would highly recommend Julia Shalloup as a lawyer.

I found her knowledge of the law to be superficial and glib. I did not feel that she is comfortable discussing matters regarding domestic law. She talks out of both sides of her mouth when she discusses any issue. I would not recommend her to any one else. I kept wondering whose lawyer she was supposed to be. She seems a lot more interested in carrying her latest piece of gossip than she does representing a client in court. There are some people that have no business being lawyers, she is one of those kind of lawyers.
