Cornerstone Ranch

Terrible management. Stay away. My wife and I lived in a two-bedroom there for 3 years (Feb 2009 to March 2012). The only reason we picked the place was its proximity to the Intel fab, where my wife works. At the time, the previous manager was a very nice lady named Renee, if I remember correctly. Throughout the years, we tried to ignore the attitude of the management, as we were contemplating the hardships of moving with fear. I think it's next to impossible to exaggerate how incompetent and rude these people are (Darlene and Nick in particular), not to mention that water is cut off once a month (all day long) for "maintenance". We finally decided to move to a Mark-Taylor apartment in the same neighborhood, at about the same rate but with much better amenities, and where the leasing agents display a healthy level of professionalism. Three weeks after we moved out, Cornerstone charged us about $500 for cleaning fees, and carpet replacement, despite our hiring of the same professional services for carpet cleaning that the management office uses . After I went to the management office to politely inquire about ways to dispute these charges I considered unreasonable, or at least see the cleaning and new carpet (they claim was installed) in the apartment, I was asked to leave the premises or else they would call the police. All I did was ask questions, without yelling or screaming, and was met with a confrontational attitude and rudeness I have rarely seen. I would be surprised if any of these people graduated from high school, they are clearly un-educated, un-trained, bitter individuals that pose as leasing agents without having a clue what it entails to be in a marketing position where you have to deal with people. My advice, avoid the headache and stay away from this place. The apartments are average (not the worst, not the best), but the management office will make it a point to ruin it for you by antagonizing you every chance they get (they’ll play nice until you sign your leasing contract). Cornerstone Ranch is by far my worst experience in renting, don’t make the same mistake I made. There are better apartments within 2 miles, with qualified personnel to serve you.
