My girlfriend and I were looking for a place to buy an engagement ring and up until we came to Jack Sutton our experience was less than average. Every other place was filled with aggressive sales people that jumped on us the moment we walked in the door and literally stalked us like an animal stalking its prey. When we were looking we MADE SURE to tell the sales people that we were most 8-10 months away from buying (which was true). That didn't stop most places from trying to start with their great pricing, pushing rings endlessly on my girlfriend's finger, their financing options, why buying now would be the best time to buy, etc. What a different and pleasant experience Jack Sutton Fine Jewelry was! From the moment we walked in we were greeted as we expected, but something was different about this place. My girlfriend and I never got the feeling they were "selling" us something. They simply asked us what brought us in today and we let them know we were looking at engagement rings, but were 8-10 months away. The consultant (notice I didn't say salesperson) didn't have a disappointed look on their face knowing they weren't getting a sale today or even in the near future. He walked us over to the engagement section and proceeded to give us a detailed and educational background on diamonds, the different shapes, and the 4C's. I used to think all diamonds were essentially the same, but his tutorial gave me the insight my girlfriend and I were looking for. He then asked us really good questions that showed he actually cared what was important to us and that his goal was to make sure my girlfriend got the ring she always wanted. The best part is that knowing we weren't ready just yet he didn't even throw out pricing or push us to divulge a budget. About the 3 months passed since our visit and I got a phone call from him just to check in and see how things were going. I appreciated this a lot. We scheduled a second appointment to come by and take the next step in the whole process. When we walked into our second appointment at Jack Sutton Fine Jewelry it sealed the deal for us. Based on our likes from our 1st meeting he had picked out a beautiful array of rings for us to look at. I think he even said he went to the other store on Royal St. because they had some options that he knew would be good for us. Sure enough, my girlfriend loved one of the rings. That 8-10 months turned into only 3 months because of the great customer service and attention to detail! Thanks Jack Sutton Fine Jewelry! See you down the road for wedding bands!
From Business: Established in 1898, Adler's is one of the leading jewelry stores in the United States. The store provides bracelets, earrings, pendants, necklaces and gold and dia…
I don't usually write reviews online but I had such a nice experience at Adler's, I wanted to recommend them. My wife and I recently celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary and I wanted to get her something special. I chose Adler's because I knew about the store's rich history in New Orleans and always admired their store in the Towne Center here in BR. I immediately explained to a sales person that I needed help with a custom design , and she referred me to the store manager, who was extremely helpful. He sat with me for more than an hour and we came up with several ideas. Over the course of the next few weeks, we exchanged several emails and created a truly special ring for my wife that I would never have been able to do on my own or find in another store. She absolutely loves it and is already looking forward to the next special occassion!
I grew up in New Orleans but moved away years ago. When I got engaged, I knew I wanted to return home for the wedding, and I always thought of registering at Adler's as a tradition. I knew my family wuld expect me to register there so I went to Adler's store downtown and met with a lady on the 2nd floor to pick out my patterns and crystal. I had a great time!! They have so many patterns and designs to choose from, and the saleslady was really helpful. My wedding is only weeks away and I have had so much fun getting the little Adler's registry cards in the mail recently telling me what someone bought for us. It's so much easier than getting the actual stuff and I don't have to worry about storing it!! I can't wait to get all my new china :)
