Young's General Store

Young's is always such a pleasure to shop at! The staff is always super friendly and helpful; any time I buy a large bag of pet food or cat litter, by the time I sign for the purchase it's already over their shoulder ready for them to carry it out to my car for me. If I'm looking for something there's always someone happy to help me find it. I'm part of the Ace rewards program so it's also a nice surprise when I get a $5 coupon in the mail thanks to my regular shopping there. I love that they do case discounts on canned pet food and they often have sales on specific items like treats or cat litter. So nice to not have to walk through a gigantic building to get everything I need! I love Young's and will happily forego the convenience of online shopping to buy my pet food in store and say hi to everyone. Oh! And they also regularly do little events on the weekends, often including free food like apple fritters. Yum!!

Young's is THE BEST! I enjoy shopping here. They may not have *everything* that you'll find in one of the "BIG BOX" stores, but their selection of pet foods and supplies is AMAZING, and they carry some of the top brands that cannot easily be found elsewhere. Customer service is OUTSTANDING. I have never had to look for help; there is always someone "checking in" to see if I need assistance. Staff is always polite, cheerful, and very eager-to-please. They will even INSIST on carrying your purchases to your car for you. They have some pretty good sales and "special offers," including a Loyalty program for Fromm Dog-Food and other brands, and if you don't see what you are looking for, they'll special-order it for you. I've been a Young's customer for about 10 years now... and I am hoping they'll be around for as long as I need them. Keep up the good work, Young's! You guys are THE BEST!

5 day xmas sale is a BUST !, 1 of 6 items avail. all staff was unprepared unorganized Sale items.out of stock, .if item was found I took the only one in store..backordered not ordered in prattsville store, excuses were so forthcoming i found it almost amusing i. took a deep breathe and cashed out the only pack of xmas lights and onlly 30 ct batteries( ad says 36 ) in stock,,which the manager dusted off.!! but i waited patiently while this inexperienced cashier /manager tried to figure out my discount..for the battery shortgage., I suggest this small local businesses change ownership. my shopping experience is always the same, whenever i shop here. I give up , small store has lost its charm. lowes will now get my money. for the big purchase a dewalt

toolpckg ,which they did have in stock, but i was so disgusted at that point they did not deserve my business. I was going to spend a few hundred $$$ , their loss. at the very least ,keep it as a pet food and supply store and give up on the rest.
