Toothacres Pet Care Center

My baby died early one morning and I rushed her to the vet to have my beloved pet cremated using their animal cremation service, which just happened to be Toothacres. I dropped her body off around 10:30 that morning, and then contacted the vet clinic that evening around 5. They told me that someone from Toothacres called and said they couldn’t pick her body up that day because the clinic was not on their route that day. It was almost 24 hours after she passed before they could pick her up from the vet. She passed away on a Thursday early morning so there was no reason someone couldn’t have made a trip and pick her body up. The level of disrespect for my fur child was more than I could handle. It caused so much distress to me knowing that my baby would have to lay in the clinic overnight and that whole day I dropped her off without being refrigerated since the vet does not have the equipment for that. I will never use this company EVER again!!!! And let’s not forget it took almost two weeks to get my baby’s cremations back. NEVER AGAIN!!! If you love your fur child, then find somewhere else to have them cremated, not here. They could care less about your feelings, just your money.

I had a very bad experience in December. I had 3 dogs that needed to be boarded. The 3 red dog is 13 years old so I had to lift him out of the SUV. Mary told be they only take healthy dogs. I explained I had never heard of this. I told the staff he was older. I had a non refundable flight that left out of state in the morning. She was RUDE and would not take my older dog but I could check him into a 24 hour vet. I was so upset. Then on the way back from my trip I said I would pick my 2 other dogs up in the morning. They quoted me a price. When I got there they tried to charge me addtional $50.00. I WILL NEVER go back again. Rude staff. Dishonest in there price and only take young healthy dogs? Never heard such a thing!

My dogs were here during Christmas. When I picked them up after it snowed, they were cuddling up on their pee soaked bed and had such a sad look in their eyes...
The staff was nice, but when they said it would be temperature controlled, I believed it. But it is not heated. Maybe during the summer they have a/c but no heat.....

When I lost my 15 year old Dog Suzy, this facility cremated her and gave me her ashes in a beautiful Cedar box with an engraved nameplate. They were very kind and professional in a time I was grieving.
