Founded in 1948, St. John's Villa is a nonprofit organization that serves individuals with mental and developmental disabilities. The organization serves more than 50 adult residents and is certified by the Ohio Department of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities. St. John's Villa serves the residents of Carroll County in Ohio and surrounding areas. It also provides child and adult day care services. The organization offers assisted and independent living solutions to individuals with disabilities. Its residential services division provides 24-hour supervision, medical coordination, nursing, respite care, and daily living skills development and support services. The organization operates Edward & Henry Cain Woodshop, which offers opportunities for residents to learn wood sawing, sanding, staining and painting skills. In addition, St. John's Villa provides restaurant and facility rental services.
