Classic Cleaners

I recently moved and with hesitation changed dry cleaners based on distance. The first time I picked up my order from Classic Cleaners (village location) my white shirt had a yellow tint on the shoulder. I gave the shirt back to the clerk who advised it was probably starch and they would run it through again. Once I received it back the yellow had faded and was barley noticeable. The second (and last!) time I used them six of my white (Brooks Brothers less 3months old) shirts came back with the same yellowing. They offered to rerun them again, I picked them up today and still damaged! The clerk tried to give me paperwork on why this could occur. I ask to speak with a manger and she called Eric Wollenhaupt who immediately blamed it on an unknown resin. I explained in 10 years of service with my previous dry cleaners this unknown resin had never appeared. He then advised it was aftershave, I disagreed and then he blamed it on the manufacture of my Brooks Brothers shirts stating they were faulty. He managed to blame everyone but Classic Cleaners. He was not willing to correct the problem by replacing the shirts but did offer to send them to a lab for testing. I will be sure to share by experience with every friend, coworker, and those who will listen. Six Hundred dollars in damages and the only acceptable remedy from Classic Cleaners is a piece of paper from Shirt Laundry Procedures Bulletin # 52!
