Twas' mere days before Christmas when tragedy struck,
a mix of poor planning and awful bad luck.
My wife's contact lens,
the last of the lot,
developed a rip causing her vision to slip!

Ok... perhaps a Christmas poem is not going to work. In all seriousness, we PCS'd away from Bragg over the summer. And as PCS season goes, switching doctors and schools and houses... Sometimes annual vision checks get put on a back burner. This is fine until the your last contact lens tears just three days before Christmas. Not only is finding a new doctor challenging enough in the DC area, but finding one that has available appointments at this time of year is impossible.

Our family was facing Christmas with a blinded mommy plagued by headaches. Grasping at straws we called back to North Gate Eye Center to see if there was anything they could do to help. Once hearing of our plight, Mary the office manager and Dr. Parke jumped into action.

They didn't have my wife's exact prescription in stock, but they did have two options that were very close.

Despite not having seen her in a year and a half, they shipped both overnight to ensure she'd be able to see on Christmas.

As someone who's grandfather, father and uncle were all doctors, Dr. Parke has provided the care and attention to her patients in a time of need that I was raised to expect from my medical role models but is so sorely missing in our modern medical care system.

Thank you Dr. Parke and North Gate Eye Center. When we return to the Center of the Military Universe, we'll be sure to come in for all our vision needs.

Will not go anywhere else! Best eye exam I have ever had. Up to date on latest equipment. Dr. Parke explained everything in great detail. I was concerned about not being able to get contacts due to last eye doctor couldn't get a good fit. I ordered a 6 month supply! I can see the best I have been able to see in a long time. I did not have to wait long at all for my appointment. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Wasn't pressured into buying glasses. Walked out with a copy of my prescription. Have referred my family and friends. With Tricare I'm only allowed every two years to file with them. Knew this going in and glad I made the decision to pay out of pocket. You won't be sorry to make an appointment with Dr. Parke.

Wouldn't want to go anywhere else! Loved my visit yesterday and everyone was so nice and friendly and the office was very clean and beautifully decorated. Only have to wait about 5-7 days for glasses which isn't bad compared to 2 weeks at my last place! Love it!

I would follow these guys anywhere. The only ones who can get my prescription right
