I am very pleased with the service provided by A1 Small Engines... Not once but twice this year A 1 has came to the rescue with my cub cadet! I purchased not one but two. Both lawn mowers have had to be put into the shop in less than a year. Cub cadet was very rude to me. READ YOUR WARRANTY!! The dealer working on your equipment is there to help you! A 1 explained to me that I may have charges that my so called warranty wouldn't cover. It's not always the dealers fault. A1 Small Engines is the only dealer I will let work on my equipment. I wish I could give a 10 star! Thank you A1 for a JOB WELL DONE! Rick & Angie Massengill

Chainsaw chains

If the web site would let me I would not give them a star. These people do not do good work or even have part ready when they say it will be ready.I would not take them anything to work on! not even a chain for a chainsaw, almost ruined a new 28 inch chain!

If you don't mind waiting for 3+ weeks for substandard work, this might be the place for you. After having them "fix" my lawnmower I'm currently looking for a place to really fix it.

April 2013: Took my mower in for repair as it would not start. Also, took in my warranty info as I had purchased the mower 1 year ago. Upon dropping off, I explained the problem and let the lady (owner) and older gentleman know I had changed the spark plug, filter, etc. They immediately said it was probably the fuel and that it was not covered under warranty. After hearing this, I asked them to call me before doing any work outside of warranty (as that is an expense to me directly). This was acknowledged and I left. About 5 business days later, I got a msg saying the mower was ready to be picked up. Since I never got a call I assumed it was a repair under warranty. When I arrived to pick up, I was told it would be $80 for a rebuild carburator. This was a surprise and news to me since I never got a call about it. I reminded the lady of our conversation a week prior. She simply let me know she was not aware and couldnt remember since she did not make any notes on the ticket-sheet. I was very disappointed in the service and felt it was very unprofessional to not do what you said you would do..........and then play it off. While I agree with paying for work done, I felt this to be similar to a shame. Do your homework on this business. There are similar reviews to mine that exist. If you chose them...GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING!!!!!!!!!!! Good Luck.

This place doesn't deserve 1 s...

This place doesn't deserve 1 star! Dropped off our Cub Cadet to get an oil leak fixed and a belt changed. Told them to advise when the bill got to $200 because we are strapped for cash. Said it would take one week to fix. Been 4 weeks. After the 3rd week their excuse was that they just ordered the belt that needed replacing. They knew from week 1 that they needed the belt, they waited weeks to order it. Today they called and said its ready and your bill is $412, we did a tune-up, replaced the blades, oil leak fixed and belt changed. After much arguing over getting a bill for what we didn't ask for and trying to get a credit, we were told that they would strip the mower of the work they did and will leave the mower on the curb for us to pick up (exact words). We ended up paying the money but are livid that a company would do business this way.
