I visit them through the app gunbroker as I live in NY. They have been caught selling firearms THEY DONT EVEN HAVE IN STOCK.!!!!! Also I had placed bid on 2 of their products (the exact same gun just one was over $100 less) I end up winning both and tell them " I dont need both" I am now blocked. I have contacted them numerous times and it shows they are not interested in obtain any customers. They are not a company which values young enthusiasts. I am 26 years old and looking to start collecting. In this day and age we should all be looking to encourage legal gun owners BUT here at Sportsmans Supply, based on all the reviews I have read is not something they care about.

Went in looking for some .22 the employees were all gathered around talking to each other about TV, I stood at the counter for a few minutes and they just ignored me. When I finally interrupted their conversation after getting no help and unable to find the ammo myself, I asked them if they had any and they just looked at me like I was an idiot before one of them scoffed at me and said "uh yeah" and went back to discussing television with the other employees without telling me where they actually kept the ammunition. I ended up leaving without the ammo I had come in for.

This place sucks along with the employees. I’ve bought thousands of dollars worth of guns here only reason is because of locality and I know a lot about guns and knew exactly what I wanted. Don’t ever trade your gun here they will rape you. They act like your an idiot. Not very friendly. Only thing they know how to do is piss you off. I would recommend the shooters bench in russelton or at least anywhere else. Had great experience there

I purchased a gun from Sportsmans Supply on Gunbroker. Four days after the auction ended they notified me the gun that I had won was not the gun they had described. Specifically it was a different barrel material. I understand mistakes happen and I gave them every opportunity to make the sell right. I asked for the gun in any other caliber as long as it was in the finish that I had won or at least offer free shipping and I would accept what they had. Their response was to cancel order and send an email stating "sorry for the inconvenience". After a quick review of their store on google, I quickly realized I was not the first person to have customer service issues nor will I be the last. I will never do business with them again and would suggest anyone in the future to use caution.

Crappy service... Man was eating jerky while showing us guns while getting greasy stains all over the gun and don't bother emailing them with questions. IF you get a reply it won't be helpful. I will stick with the East Brady branch way better customer service.

Extremely dissapointed. I came in with a large amount of money looking for a deer rifle. Was not greeted by anyone even though there was mass employees. Staff was rude and unwelcoming. After I told them what I was looking for they directed me to a used gun. I trusted them and bought the rifle . They mounted the scope without even bore sighting it. Gave me no direction on how to use the rifle. Then I got home after spending ALOT of money the rifle did not even work. WTF

Between the rudeness of their workers, price gouging on ammunition & guns ,& their internet policy's about guns and ammunition, I will no longer shop @ their establishment. I would rather go to Walmart or some other chain store, @ least their not rude ignorant people!!!!
most likely I will be buying my stuff from small gun shops because they care about their patrons.

This is a place to go if you know exactly what you are shopping for, such as bullets or a gun you know all about and previosly shot. This is not a place for a first time gun buyer. I highly recommend gun world in harrisville, it may be a long drive for some including me but definitely worth it. When I went to sportsman there seemed to be 10 employees there at the time and half were smoking cigarettes outside. Another reason I went elsewhere to purchase my gun was the environment. It feels very cramped, rundown and shady. Not the kind of place I would like to make a gun purchase.

Walked in the door with all intentions of purchasing a new handgun for my wife. While checking out guns in the case out of the corner of my eye I see a weapon being pointed at me. The employee had a semi pistol out of the case looking at it and working the slide. I asked him if he could please not point that in my direction and he returned the gun to the case to pull out another and do the same thing again. I again stated "really"!! I can't believe your pointing that at me not just once but twice. I asked "do you work here?" he replied "Why yes I do" I stated I couldn't believe he would do it not once but twice and I didn't care if it were loaded or unloaded. He then changed directions and pointed it away but in the direction of another patron checking out at the cash register. All this time the other older employee checking out the other patron never said a word and another genetlemen behine the case I was looking at walked away. I walked out and couldn't belive the lack of professionalism and gun safety. They need to keep to selling guns on the internet.

THEY ARE VERY IGNORANT ,RUDE,AND ALL THEY ARE AFTER IS YOUR MONEY .GO TO GUN EMPORIUM ,CHICORA OR ANY OTHER DEALER THESE GUYS THINK THEY GOT YOU BECAUSE OF LIMITED GUN DEALERS IN THE BUTLER AREA.I WONT DO ANY BUSINESS WITH THEM EVER AGAIN SEEMS LIKE ALL THE LOCALS KNOW THIER GAMES...THERE GUN DEALS ARENT ANY BETTER THAN ANY WHERE ELSE..AND FORGET TRADE IN S UNLESS YOUR WILLING TO TAKE A BEATEN OR GIVEIT TO THEM..I COULD NEVER FIGURE OUT HOW THE PARKING LOT IS ALWAYS FULL??TODAYS SOCIETY DONT SEEM TO CARE ABOUT SERVICE AND SPORTSMENSHIP....MONKEY SEE MONKEY DO.....

I know things are busy right now, but.... They forgot to order my rifle a month ago and when I ordered my pistol and it came in, it was wrong too. Most prices are decent on things, but most of the people working there are rude and seem bothered if they have to wait on you. There are a couple of really good people who know their stuff, so I patiently wait for them to help me, but only two out of a bunch. So even if you know exactly what you want and have money in hand, there is no guarantee it will be ordered right. They have also stopped letting customers put things on layaway. No problem, I will spend my thousands of dollars on sporting goods every year at Midway USA... at least Larry Potterfield appreciates my business. I have shopped there for a long time, but I am done with this store. I can get just as good of deals on the internet if I shop around.

Stopped in tonight. Lots of workers. Not a one even could bother saying hi. They have a good inventory and all, but I won't go back. Cold.

They are very knowledgeable and have a wide variety for selection. Prices are average, but their staff makes it worth while. I have made several purchases from them and keep going back.
