Butler Area Sewer Authority

After getting a shutoff notice, I called to make a payment arrangement. They refused. I was getting paid the day after they were going to shut us off. The day after! I was hoping to make a partial pmt, but I told them we could pay in full if we had to. They said I had to pay in full on the original date or take my chances that they wouldn't shut me off on time. Everyone else we spoke with about catching up was so gracious about working with us. Our mortgage company was more cooperative, and believe me, they weren't too cooperative, so that says a lot about this local company and their scruples. Unbelievable. This isn't the first time I've had issues with BASA. There were times they required us to pay in person for one reason or another, but we worked during their business hours, and they refused to work with us. We would have to take time off work. This local company cares NOTHING about the local people. Only the bottom line.
