Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen

I used Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen for the first time on Friday night to pick up chicken for the BHS Playproduction after party. The chicken was great. More importantly, when they said it would be done in 10 minutes (34 pieces), it was done in 10 minutes.

Had a weak moment and a cheat night and picked up fried shrimp, fries and biscuits. Everything was delicious but I paid for it the next morning. The manager was great and even gave me more biscuits.

Easy go to for take out sometimes. Plenty of parking in its stand alone lot. Several tables for dining in. Often crowded but it's always clean. I have never seen dirty tables or floors here. Service at the front is always friendly and easy. They accommodate you in regards to part spicy and regular orders.

Food is consistent and good. Service is relatively fast but dining area is small. Tuesdays special..leg and thigh for $1.49. I asked the server what type of oil they use...she gave me a sinister grin and said we don't use oil...we use lard. That is why it tastes to good..

Place is always busy, tried calling ahead and got voicemail message that didn't mention Popeye's. Turns out when they get busy they don't bother to answer it. Step up your game Popeye's.
