All Star Inn

On August 2,2008 my husband & I came to visit my mother in law whom is in a nursing home and we were very tired from the heat that day and desided to rest over night at the All Star Inn which we had done many times but we didn't know the owners had changed sence we had last stayed there. We checked in about 5:30 PM and the room was very hot. We ate some fried chicken we had baught in town and took our shower and went to bed. We got up at 10:00 PM still hot & a little hungry. We opened the box of chicken to find roaches feasting on our super. A thunderstorm rolled in and we lost power so yea you guessed it still HOT. The next morning I woke up with an itch. Just thought I was allergic to the detergent they had washed the sheets in. We got home (to Texas) and I had a rash from hell all over my body. I went to my doctor and he asked if I had done anything different over the weekend like go out of town. I told him of our trip and he told me I had SCABIES. I had no clue what that was and he told me it was little mites that burrow under your skin and cause an allergic reaction to the larva and feces. I called the Inn to ask if they would compinsate me for my medical. He said how do you know you got them here. ( I KNOW OK) It has ended up costing me $350.00 all together but the worse part is the suffering I went through. It is very sickening to think bugs are under your skin and the damage they did looked like I was clawed by a bear. We stayed in the handicaped room for my husband is handicaped. Next time I will pay $250.00 at the casino for a room.
