Brea's Smog Test Only

While my car was being tested I mentioned I had a coupon for a free certificate ($8 value) as well as a free retest ($32 value) coupon. I was charged prior to my test being completed. The car failed. So my current charge was correct being I did not pass and would not get certificate. Upon the car being repaired I went back for my re-test. I handed over my free re-test coupon but he insisted that I could only use my free cert coupon because I mentioned I had it the first time when I had the car tested. I never even gave him my free cert coupon and I even asked him "In my situation, if you had a free re-test or free certificate coupon which one would you use?" Pretty much a no brainer - save $8 or save $32. He did not answer my question but told me that he would not service my car. He was just horrible. He also couln't answer my question to why post coupons if you do not honor them. We had a huge yelling match. I would never go to him again.

I drove from Diamond Bar area to this place. I had a complicated situation (due to DMV and vehicle in non-operational mode). He helped me get the necessary steps to complete registration (faxing paper work, calling DMV, etc.). They also can do registration service here too so you don't have to go to DMV or wait for tags in the mail. This could be handy if you have expired tags. By the ways, the owner answered my car-related questions since he is also a seasoned mechanic. Highly recommend.
