General Info

Founded in 1980, Harbor Health Service is a private, nonprofit corporation licensed by the State of Connecticut Department of Health. Its programs are approved by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities. It provides a wide range of community mental health services for adults with serious and persistent mental illness and substance abuse disorders. In addition, it provides services, such as social rehabilitation, case management, outpatient treatment, intensive care, and crisis and residential services. It also operates a clothing bank that provides clothes and home items to individuals in need. Its vocational services include personality evaluation and assessment, career development, and inculcating job seeking skills. Harbor Health Service is located in Branford, and its service area includes East Haven, Guilford, Madison, North Branford and North Haven, Conn.
