I recently got a dinnet set from there, about two weeks ago, one leg was cracked and a chair leg was un even, but they told me to bring it back and gave me two new chairs in place of the bad chairs. I’ve bought a fireplace from the bossier airline store , too, and other things and never had any problems with the furniture or service from the staff! They were always friendly and helpful!

We went to Ivan Smiths to purchase a new King size mattress. We ended up buying a Tempurpedic Adapt, and it wasn't right for us. Ivan Smith let us return the bed and get a new one. We love our new bed! Excellent customer service and stood by their satisfaction guarantee. We will use this furniture store for all our furnishing needs.

We have shopped with the manager, Mike Pierce, for fifteen years at Ivan Smith Furniture. We always go there first because the prices are always reasonable, the service is great and if we have any problem with a delivery or need a special concession they pull strings and bend over backwards to get us whatever we want. Their service technicians are super at repairs too. We have had accidents and wanted to pay for service, in home, and the cost was less than $100 to come out and do the work and that included the little parts and the touch up paint work that was 'a bonus' we did not expect. When Mike was on vacation we had to buy our daughters dorm room furniture and Victor and Kevin took great care of us and we did not even have to 'name drop' that we knew the manager and were 'old, regular' customers. We custom ordered a sofa from Mayo and made the mistake of not measuring the family room before we put down the deposit and placed the order. We thought about that a week later and discovered it would not fit and they let it slide, took delivery of 'our sofa' and sold it as a ONE OF A KIND feature item off their sales floor, and let us apply our whole deposit to a different Mayo custom order sofa that would fit our space limitations. We thought we would lose our deposit for sure, but they forgave our mistake and told us that the one we ordered was great looking and it would sell fast off the floor and that they would not loss money 'or sleep' over a little issue like that. I really was grateful they did not make me feel bad and my husband was so glad we got our deposit money moved over to the second sofa we ordered. We met Mr. Ivan Smith at one of the 1/2 price Cash Sales one year and he was very funny and so nice. It is good to see a local Shreveport resident that has done good business and really grown his company. He said he had 50 stores and his dad started the company 50 years ago. That stuck in my mind. Anyway, he was very down to earth and likable. We would never have guessed he was a big businessman; he looked like an average guy, but he knew so much about all the furniture and showed us some new merchandise just arrived while we waited for Mike Pierce to get done with his other customers. We have sent many family and friends to Ivan Smith over the years and we get thanked a lot for sending people to Mike and Victor and Keven for mattresses or furniture. We even bought a 50" plasma TV there in January that is amazing looking and it was $300 less than at Best Buy, which was a big surprise. We will keep shopping here as long as they sell furniture.

We bought furniture at the Ivan Smith on 70th street the first time and the service was absolutely horrible and the people in there are very rude and there customer service cannot get anything right. We bought there the 2nd time because they were the only ones that had what we wanted and it was the last resort and the service was the same. I will NOT EVER go back to this place no matter what! I would never recomend these idiots!
