Cozy Noses Bed & Breakfast-Pet

The services my three dogs received at Cozy Noses Bed and Breakfast Pet has motivated me to write my first review ever. As I have done many times in the past, when I would have a bad experience while patronizing at a restaurant or a store, I would let it roll off my back, but make a personal note never to patronage that establishment again. But, when my little guys have a bad experience, I am obligated to speak up on their behalf.

I traveled to the Ronkonkoma area to spend the Christmas holidays with my parents, my siblings, and their families. As a result, I needed to board my little guys. So, I decided to board my dogs with Cozy Noses Bed and Breakfast Pet for six days, which was also the duration of my stay. Before I go any further, I should note that during my stay, I called many times to check on my little guys and I was told that they were all doing just fine. But, when I picked up my dogs, that was not the case. To begin with, all three dogs smelled horrendous, and looked like neither had eaten in days. In fact, all three dogs had lost so much weight that I could count their ribs. When I got home, I took my little guys to the Vet and each dog had lost eight pounds each. In addition, one of my dogs had little red marks on the back of his left paw. I also could not believe how thirsty my little guys were once we got them into the car. All three dogs drank two full bowls of water. I could not help but wonder if my dogs received any water at all during their stay.

My final thoughts, there was nothing cozy about Cozy Noses Bed and Breakfast Pet, nor did they treat my dogs as if they were their own. For all my future trips to New York, I will find a more suitable place to board my little guys. A place that actually cares for those extended family members we love so dearly.

There is nothing that a representative from Cozy Noses Bed and Breakfast Pet can say that will explain the deplorable treatment of my dogs.

I had recently had my 2 dogs at cozy noses while we were in vacation. They came back so happy. They were like we never left. And better than that, they have never smelled better!!! Since then, we have brought them there for grooming. They do best baths! They will Definately be back there when we go to Hawaii for 2 weeks!!

My husband and I did get a tour of the facility and it was spot on CLEAN! I've been here twice both different times and the place always smelled fresh and clean, no harsh chemical scent. The host who gave us the tour was friendly and professional. The runs were very spacious and the dogs looked healthy. We were very impressed and feel comfortable enough to leave our dog with them next week. I will give you our rating after we pick him up. They get 4 stars for cleansines, smell, spacious runs, and the dogs were well kept the day of our tour.

We heard and read great things about this place. I even drove by there myself to check it out. Unfortunately when I picked up my french bulldog puppy, she was filthy. She stayed for 7 days for $30 a night and the bath was an additional $30. For how much I spent it should have been included, I was told if she was peed on she would get a bath so I figured I would bath her at home to save some money. When I showed up she recked of urine, her ears were filthy, her nose covered in dried stuff, her privates were dirty and her tear ducts were never wiped. This left dried tears/eye boogers to clump and mat in her fur. I called frequently to check on her and was told one of the employees has a french bulldog as well and my puppy was getting a lot of attention. If that is the case then she should know about the results of not cleaning the wrinkles on the face and why did no one think to wipe away any dirt that may cause irritation or bacterial infection. As for her actiivity level, my puppy was so hyper I figured it was all the excitement of being back home. It took three walks and running with her to get her to calm down. This makes me worry that she was kept in a pen all day. It was a nice day out, no coat required weather. I can't prove it but she is only like this after being left inside all day with brief walks to do her business. Its a shame we got her in such a poor condition and the only courtesy was to spritz her with a substance to mask the scent. I recommend using this place for very short periods of time and if you can afford the additional cost of getting a bath. Other than that, the staff is very friendly, the location is near the airport but their office call/pick up/drop off hours are inconvenient for any customer.
