Teeth Cleaning
Dr. Taylor Terveer Dr. Taylor P. Terveer is the newest member of the team at Decatur Dental Services, Inc., joining the practice in October 2016. He was born and raised in Decatur, Indiana. Taylor attended Bellmont High School, graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelor's of Science in Health Sciences. He attended Indiana University School of Dentistry graduating in 2016. Dr. Terveer is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA) and the Isaac Knapp District Dental Society (IKDDS). Dr. Terveer and his experienced staff will be offering complete family dental services from comprehensive exams and cleanings to dental implants and the latest in cosmetic dentistry. He strives to provide quality dental treatment by helping patients have a smile that they love, all while in a comfortable and caring environment. Dr. Terveer resides in Decatur with his wife Agnes and two sons, Graham and Hudson.
Dental Sealants
Sealants should be used as part of a child's total preventive dental care. Dental sealants are thin plastic coatings which are applied to the chewing surfaces of the molars (back teeth). Most tooth decay in children and teens occurs in these surfaces. Sealants cover the chewing surfaces to prevent decay. Applying sealants does not require drilling or removing tooth structure. It is an easy three-step process: We clean the tooth with a special toothpaste. A special cleansing liquid, on a tiny piece of cotton, is rubbed gently on the tooth and is washed off. Finally, the sealant is painted on the tooth. It takes about a minute for the sealant to form a protective shield. One sealant application can last for as long as 5 to 10 years. Sealants should be checked regularly, and reapplied if they are no longer in place.

We will do everything we can to preserve your natural teeth. However, some teeth get to a point where they become non-restorable. Dr. Pam Johnson Dr. Pam Johnson received a B.S. degree in biology from Indiana University in 1997 and graduated from Indiana University School of Dentistry in 2001. Dr. Johnson has had extensive education in orthodontics and Invisalign. She is a member of Isaac Knapp, Indiana and American Dental Associations. She is a native of Wells County, graduating from Southern Wells High School. Dr. Johnson currently resides in Adams County with her husband Dr. Michael Johnson, who is also a Dentist with bluffton Dental Services, and their son Drew. Dr. Johnson has a philosophy of conservative dentistry and has a gentle touch when providing care for your entire family.

Teeth Whitening
Everyone loves a bright, white smile. Today there are a variety of products and procedures available to help you improve the color of your teeth. Some whitening procedures are done in our office with one visit. Other whitening agents can even be purchased over-the-counter. However, over-the-counter whitening agents will not whiten your teeth as quickly or as effectively as those delivered by a dentist.
