Brookwood Emergency Department

I didn't read previous reviews until I was already signed in and waiting. I thought my goodness there are mostly bad reviews. However, my experience was not bad. The staff was friendly, informative, and they looked happy to help. I didn't feel like I was inconveniencing anyone. They said they were extremely busy and I was checked in and walking out with my son's paperwork in an hour. Please do not go off the previous reviews. This is a wonderful place.

My husband presented with mild chest pain. WI think 30 seconds of being put in a room he was told by the nurse "just so you know she "the doctor" is going to add mitt you to the hospital....After bloodwork and EKG twice, given two hours apart were normal the doctor came in stating she would be admitting him. My husband felt better and made the choice to go home. The nurse came in the room to release him and proceeded to tell us the emergency room will not be covered when you leave AMA. My husband and I were very upset only to find out that it's not true and she knew it was not true.
