Overall

Dr. Refoa runs a great office where you don't have to wait when you arrive for your appointment. Other Dr.'s that she has on staff are also great to work with - meaning you know you're always seeing a professional. She handles insurance seamlessly, and she is very attentive with preventive care so you don't have dental challenges in the future. Also, she is experienced with cosmetic dentistry too so she can do more than traditional dentistry; you can get whitening treatments and or trays or other work done while you're there.

Teeth Cleaning
Yes. Dr. Refoa uses trays designed to fit your teeth so the gel can penetrate hard-to-reach areas more consistently than one-size-fits-all over-the-counter treatments. Plus, the gel is more powerful than drugstore treatments so you get better, longer-lasting results. Dr. Refoa can also perform a tooth cleaning and exam prior to whitening so you can feel confident the gel material will penetrate deeply and any sensitivity will be minimized.

Fillings
Absolutely. You should be aware, though, that whitening your teeth can make old, dark, metal amalgam fillings appear more visible. Many patients have amalgam fillings removed and replaced with mercury-free tooth-colored fillings for the most cosmetically-pleasing results.
Veneers
Veneers are very thin sheets of durable porcelain material that adhere to the surfaces of your teeth, correcting the appearance of deep staining and discoloration, cracks and pits, chips and uneven or worn surfaces, closing unattractive gaps and helping teeth look more uniform and attractive. Application usually takes two visits â€“ one to prepare the tooth surface for the veneer application and make an impression (mold) that will be used to create the veneer, and the second visit to apply the veneer to the tooth surface. Veneers can be custom tinted to match your natural teeth.

That depends in part on the location of the tooth and how badly it's damaged. Simple extractions are relatively straightforward, using grasping tools designed to remove teeth without significant trauma to surrounding tissues. Extractions involving difficult-to-reach teeth such as wisdom teeth or teeth that have become impacted (coming in sideways or â€œstuckâ€ under other teeth) require incisions in the gum tissue to access them and remove them.
