Walmart - Vision Center

Value is okay (4 stars). But Dr. Puneet Rastogi is an awful doctor (1 star). He is late, impatient, argumentative, and takes no consideration of his patients. I had an eye exam in December, 2014, for contact lenses. It was around 4pm. After the initial exam routine by the nurse/technician, I went right in to see Mr. Rastogi. He seemed pretty impatient to leave for the day and did the rest of the exam in 5 minutes flat. He prescribed astigmatism lenses for my right eye. I told him that they give me discomfort and that I would like to stick with my old prescription. He said, "NO! It's far past time for you to be wearing these." "But..." "NO!" That was it. No discussion, no asking about what makes them uncomfortable, no asking about my history with them. He also prescribed my right eye 0.25 lower power, I guess to compensate for the astigmatism changes. I went home with a trial set and gave them a go, and sure enough, achy eye and discomfort. I went back for the follow-up at a first-thing morning appointment. The good doctor was late 15 minutes, but seemed in a better mood at least. I tried to reason with him, but he stuck with his initial prescription for astigmatism. He did throw me a bone this time and gave me one increment higher power. I went home again with a new trial. They did the same thing, but at least I could see better. I called for another appointment and told the technician that I have had it up to here with the doctor and that these prescriptions are not for me. David assured me that he would talk to the doctor and work to get my prescription fixed. David bent over backwards trying to fix my prescription and even got me multiple samples of regular lenses to last me 6 months and fill my prescription. I was happy finally.

6 months later, I put in for a lens refill. They said my prescription was incorrect. I told the prescription filler that there must be some mistake and to talk to David, because he was working to get me situated. He called back and said David no longer works there. I. WAS. LIVID. David was the one guy trying to help with this mess and he was let go or quit for whatever reason, my guess is that Dr. Rastogi either fired him or David could no longer stand working for this hack.

I then settled for the old prescription with the intent of saving for laser eye surgery. I don't want to deal with this anymore. And if Doctor Rastogi suddenly lost his license, I would laugh.
