This is some of the best food I have every had, and I'm not just talking Mexican. The molcajete dish is outrageous. Every single item I had was enjoyable. Most Mexican places make their rice and beans an afterthought, this is the first place where I actually enjoyed the side dishes. I barely ate half of my plate and I was stuffed, that was without ordering an appetizer too. Maria is super friendly as well. My boyfriend and are I definitely "gringos" and we didn't feel out of place at all. We will be going back again and again!

I always read reviews, but never write them. I feel compelled to write one for this place though. Maria's has amazing authentic Mexican food! I've been there twice now and will return many more times. We ordered different items both visits and were not disappointed with any of our meals. The portions are generous & the tortas (sandwiches) are HUGE...my 230lb boyfriend couldn't finish it! The horchata is delicious & comes in a gigantic glass mug. When you arrive, they bring you homemade chips, 2 types of salsa & refried beans...don't fill up like we did! We also didn't learn our lesson the first time and ordered appetizers again- by the time we got our meals we were stuffed! The prices for the quality and amount you get is unbelievable; we wondered how they make any money. Most items on the menu are under $10. Our bill came to $44 with tax and that was including 2 appetizers, 2 meals, and 2 glasses of horchata. The place is hidden on the end of a small plaza. You probably wouldn't notice it unless you were looking for it. The dining room is cozy & tastefully decorated. Maria herself comes & chats with patrons at each table like they're family. Her warm & welcoming nature will make you want to return again & again. If anything negative, I'd say the service is a little slow, but we only minded when we were waiting for the check because we were so full we were ready to go into a food coma & wanted to get home...just don't go there if you're in a hurry. We went both times on a Saturday night and the place was nearly empty. I think people just don't know about the place, otherwise, I expect it would be packed. Hopefully this review will help convince some people to check it out. If you're in the mood for Mexican food, check out Maria's- you won't be disappointed!

I love Maria's Restaurant... Specially their Pambasos !! Mmmm Yummmyyy !!!!

My daughter and I went for lunch and it was the freshest, best Mexican food I have ever tasted. We were practically the only two in the restaurant, but I'm sure it was because it was after lunch hours. We are going to go back for the dinner menu because all the offerings sounded so different than what you get in a run-of-the mill fast food Mexican restaurant. Very interesting selections. Had to look up what they were. Can't wait.

Went there twice, got the gringo/Pisano? Wings they were very "finger lickin'" good. I wanted guacamole but because the avocado they had received were not ripe they wouldn't make it. I appreciated their honesty. Went back last night for dinner, 40 bucks for 3 ppl but we all left w lunch for today. Food was great! Definatley going on my speed dial! We were greeted by the owner as well, and when we left she saw us out just like family leaving after a visit. Brenda Rowand

I stopped to grab a menu and the owner/executive chef gave me and my family such a warm welcome making us feel so cumfortable as a family owner restauran should! And must i add that the food is excellent ! I highly recommend it !

This is some of the best Mexican food I have ever had. Everything was extremely fresh and flavorful. I highly recommend it.
