        Founded in 1917, Shuttle Meadow Country Club is an 18-hole golf course and recreation complex. It has hosted various prestigious events, such as the U.S. Amateur Qualifying Tournament, as well as numerous Connecticut State Golf Association Championships. The club has more than 350 members who participate in varied athletic and social activities, including tennis, platform tennis, swimming and ice-skating. It additionally organizes candlelight ball, sports banquet, Easter egg hunt, father-daughter dinner dance, autumn hayride and patio parties. The club provides lessons in tennis, golf and swimming. It features a snacks bar that serves a variety of food items and beverages. Shuttle Meadow Country Club is located in Kensington, Conn.
