I have now had three appointments scheduled for a much anticipated injection into my back to relieve on going back pain I have experienced for over a year.

Two appointments were canceled the day of because the billing department could not get approval from my insurance. During each of the many phone conversations I had no one could answer any billing questions and they had very little patience for any inquiries for me to help. I called the day before my third scheduled appointment and explained to the lady what procedure I was having and asked if I should bring anything with me, I was told a photo ID and insurance card. The same day I received a reminder call, again I asked if i would need to bring anything with me for my type of procedure. I was given the same answer.

I had to have a friend take off work to give me a ride from Seattle to Bellevue and had a second friend take off time from work to pick me up and take care of me after the procedure. When I showed up I was asked to fill out paperwork, when I was done, the front desk asked me if I had brought my MRI results with me because they were needed to provide this procedure. When I explained I was not told to bring them, she told me they could not help me and would have to reschedule my appointment, for a fourth time. She also explained they could not see me for another week and there was nothing else they could do for me. When you are dealing with people in constant pain there is a certain amount of empathy that should be shown. I have seen many other doctors and their staff during this experience and have been shown a great deal of empathy and understanding. I cannot say the same for CDI.
