Kristy W. Barrentine, a registered nurse since 2004, has practiced as a nurse practitioner since 2009. Over her career span, Kristy’s professional clinical focus has been spine treatment, with experience in both neurosurgery and interventional pain management. Kristy began working with Dr. Charles Gordon, The Spine Institute at Baldwin Bone & Joint in May of 2020.
Arthroscopy
Patients may also be referred to a foot and ankle surgeon for proper diagnosis and treatment of heel pain (such as a consequence from plantar heel fasciitis), nerve disorders (such as tarsal tunnel syndrome) and tumors of the foot and ankle. An orthopaedic surgeon has a Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine medical degree and training that encompasses both orthopaedic residency and an optional 6-month to one year of fellowship training specific in techniques of foot and ankle surgery.
