A Step Forward, located in Baltimore, Maryland is a non-profit organization providing supportive housing for homeless men, women and children, individuals with drug and alcohol addiction, disabilities, mental health problems, people who are recently incarcerated, financially deprived, unemployed and also HIV/AIDS patients. Their services include transitional housing for low-income people, supporting housing for homeless individuals, halfway housing which is a recovery or sober house, single room occupancy, low income housing/subsidy that provides housing to people with low-income; and other services such as group counseling, health resources, training in job skills, and educating people about HIV and AIDS. The center seeks funding from private and public agencies for grant opportunities and sponsorship.
