I went to this salon this morning and was one of three clients in this huge salon, so I was hoping for good attention, but I was sorely mistaken. This woman was quick to talk to her coworkers in her native language, but barely bothered to talk to me about what I needed. She hacked at my toes and clipped my nails but didn't bother to file them smooth. She barely touched my cuticles and wanted to charge an extra $7 to do my callouses. I'm sorry, everyone else does that for free. She didn't put on a base coat, and put on one (poorly done) coat of color (mine, so it wasn't like she needed to ration it). When I left she said something about me coming back. Yeah, next time I need to waste $20, I'll be sure to come in. This evening I took a closer look and was so disgusted that I removed what she'd done. It was then that I could really see that my cuticles were ragged and I had to spend another hour fixing my toes.



I tried this place because I just moved to the northwest from the northeast. Next time I'll be taking the trip back to the Albertson's shopping plaza on Mt Vernon to visit the folks at Smart Nails, who always do a wonderful job. They actually scrub the callouses (for free), massage your calves and wrap them with warm towels. Believe me, it will be worth the trip after seeing this hack.
