Can't say enough great things about Mike Monji & Associates! Two ash trees on my property  were losing bark and I made the mistake of contacting another local tree business first, thinking they had a certified arborist based on their reviews. When they began their work, it was evident they were harming the trees even more! Thank goodness for Mike Monji - an ISA Certified Arborist, professional, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. Calling him was the best decision. I just wished I had called him first! He thoroughly explained the diagnosis and necessary treatment. It's evident he knows his stuff, a true expert! But what's even better is that he explains it in a way his customer (me in this case) can understand. It was a delight to see him in action treating my trees. The ash trees are looking as great as they can be and the lawn and soil healthier. Exceptional service and care! Couldn't be happier!

I have known Michael Monji for over 50 years, and when I had problems with my trees at our rental Michael came and diagnosed the problem. He used a Shigometer to test the sap flow inside the tree to determine how healthy the tree was. He also took a soil probe to determine the compaction level in the soil, a PH test, soil salts, and fertility test.

The front pine tree had a major broken limb that fell and almost hit the roof of our rental. He said that there was too much weight on the outside limbs and that is why the limb broke off. He preceded to explain the tree would need the outside limbs be lightened up. He said most tree companies would strip the inside limbs and not lightened the outside limbs. He stated that only 25% of the foliage should be removed at any given time or the tree would become weakened and stressed. He also said that when you have your trees pruned that all the saws need to be sterilized so there would be no transfer of diseases from tree to tree.

Michael also diagnosed and treated my Crepe Myrtle tree at my house with systemic nutrient injections and oxygen pipes with Nutri-Paks that will feed my tree for three years. My tree never looked better.
