        Our goal is stopping dryer fires due to lint buildup in the vent. When to much lint accumulates on the interior wall of the vent this creates resistance to airflow. As more lint gathers on the wall it reduces the diameter of the opening. This causes the drying process to take longer and longer because it is taking longer for the hot moist air to escape the system. This leads to higher energy costs and will reduce the life of the dryer as it is working longer than it needs to. When it runs longer the dryer will run hotter as it is taking longer to evacuate that hot air. We clean, install, replace and improve dryer venting systems.

        Overall

        The cloths were taking 2 cycles to dry and the dryer was getting hot to the touch.

        Dryer Vent Wizard came out and found the connection from the dryer to the wall was not a good type of connector. I had lint buildup inside the dryer that was partially burned causing a burnt smell.

        The vent had lint buildup because the connection mentioned before was restricting proper airflow.

        After cleaning out the dryer. vent and replacing the connection with one that is wide open it operates better than it ever has before.

        Very educational visit as far as dryer venting is concerned.
