Mud Puppies

Our dogs just started going here for doggie daycare. It is the BEST. First they love going. The whimpering and excitement starts blocks away. They come home tired (what is better than that). The staff loves our guys. I know they are well cared for each day. We have also had them groomed here with great results.

I am actually very glad I didn't take my dog into their facility to be groomed. A- he already is passive for a big dog but also very protective. I had gotten sick during the week and couldn't remember when I was scheduled. So I called to check and was put on hold twice, each for periods exceeding 5 minutes. Was finally acknowledged by " management" who so rudely informed me that my dog had been replaced and no I could not bring him in. Well hats off to them if they stay so busy they don't need or want to give a courtesy call to remind you of drop off time.. ESPECIALLY when this would have been your first time there. I never want to take my pets( who are like my children to a place where the staff is rude to me. They sense that. Politely I told the " management" she didn't have to be so rude, or maybe it was just plain ugly like my business didn't matter and costumer service isn't important. This is the first review I have EVER written. But I've seen it too many times small business owners or managers being rude to their potential clients here in Austin! I do not recommend

The "frequent walks" advertised by this business are no more than a dash out the back door to "squat and do it". Lasts 1-3 minutes. There doesn't appear to be any interaction between the dog and the walker except for holding on to the leash. There seems to be a lot of traffic in the alley the dogs must cross to get to the grass - garbage trucks, delivery trucks, private vehicles. May not be safe.
