I came in for fillings. BAD experience! First of all the dentist guy stuck the needle in the wrong place. He punctured my blood vessel and my cheek automatically turned like a hamster! Swelled up and I couldn't feel my whole face at that time. Due to the other 2 other filings he had done on my other side of my mouth.

After he had noticed this big bump on my side of my mouth he STILL wanted to go on with the filing. He said it was already numb anyways. He was rushing and he seemed liked he didn't care about how my mouth was feeling. He just wanted to get more filings done to charge me more. Just to get it over with. As he was about to put something in my mouth to hold my mouth open I told him I couldn't g o on with it. My mouth couldn't even open big enough for the procedure to follow through. Long story short, I was not happy with the responses the dentist was giving me when I asked him questions. He wasn't rude, but his answers were unprofessional. Not only that. They charged me for 2 extra filings they did not do yet. So I had to go back in to fix that. Left for the rest of the day with a swollen cheek and a couple hours later all bruised up. Cold barley open my mouth to speak. Major headache.

Extra Minor thing: They play loud music in the waiting room that can get annoying. What's worse is that they play those darn annoying tunes that kids these days are listening to on the radio. Can even hear it once you walk towards the back to your dentist chair. If they want to play music out of those loud speakers in the ceiling they should at least play some good music. Music from back in the day. Heck, even classical would be nicer.

Overall
Worse off after going there

I have never been afraid to go to the dentist, and I have spend many hours in the chair.. but now I am traumatized. I went in for a simple filling and ended up injured, on medication and missing work. Just a few details before I get to the good part...I had work started on me with no Novocain in that area, I got nicked by the drill, and then gagged and about ready to pass out in pain with some hard barrier that didn't fit my mouth..that is just the beginning. When I got in the car I noticed my face was swollen and it was getting worse by the hour. Later it got hot to the touch and felt like a bee sting. I put ice on it and took ibuprofen thinking the swelling would go down. I could not go back to work because I was so miserable. By the next day the swelling and hotness was from my eye down to my neck. I could not open my mouth all the way and I was in a lot of pain. That morning I went to an urgent care clinic and got Prednisone and Amoxycillin. I then returned to the clinic and they could not find anything wrong except maybe a blood vessel was hit with the needle (perhaps that explains the lump in my swollen cheek which I hope is not a blood clot..) Luckily the medication worked fairly quickly and I improved that day..but another day of missed work. The next day the pain was still there and I had a big bruise on my face but at least I could return to work. I somehow see Judge Judy and reimbursement for medical bills, missed work and mental anguish...
