Dr. Peljovich graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. He completed a residency in orthopedic surgery at Case Western Reserve University and a fellowship in hand and upper extremity surgery at Harvard University/Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Boston Children’s Hospital. He completed an additional fellowship in the surgical restoration of the tetraplegic hand and upper extremity at MetroHealth Medical Center. Dr. Peljovich also holds a master’s degree in public health from Emory University. He is board-certified in orthopedics and holds a Certificate of Added Qualification for Surgery of the Hand.

The Hand & Upper Extremity Center of Georgia is the Southeast’s preeminent practice dedicated to providing hand and upper extremity care to patients of all ages. The practice (formerly The Hand Treatment Center) was founded in 1973 by Dr. Loui G. Bayne, one of the nation’s pioneers in pediatric and adult hand surgery.
Orthopedic Surgery
Dr. Ratner graduated cum laude from Jefferson Medical College, where he was selected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. He completed an orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. Dr. Ratner continued his training at the Philadelphia Hand Center where he served a fellowship in Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery. Prior to joining the Hand and Upper Extremity Center of Georgia, he was a member of the medical staff at the Shriners Hospital for Children in Philadelphia where he specialized in treating pediatric hand trauma, congenital differences, spinal cord injury, and brachial plexus palsy. Dr. Ratner is Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. Dr Ratner holds a Subspecialty Certificate in Surgery of the Hand from the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. Dr. Ratner has been honored as a winner for the 2021 Best of Alpharetta in the category of "Doctors."
