Dr. Lazerson was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. He attended the University of Illinois – Champaign, where he obtained his Bachelor of Science degree. He went on to further his education at the University of Illinois School of Dentistry. After completing dental school, Dr. Lazerson faithfully served his country in the Navy, earning the esteemed rank of Lieutenant. It was while in the US Navy that Dr. Lazerson decided to pursue a career as an oral and maxillofacial surgeon. When his military service was fulfilled, he entered a residency program in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York. He completed advanced oral and maxillofacial surgery training at Queen Mary’s Hospital in Roehampton, England, followed by an academic appointment as Attending Staff in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in Asuncion, Paraguay. He returned to and settled in Atlanta, GA, where he had a private practice.

Dr. Lazerson has served as a clinical instructor in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Emory University. In addition, he is a certified instructor in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and has been board certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons since 1978. He specializes in dental implant reconstruction and bone grafting procedures. As a lifetime student, he has attended hundreds of hours of continuing education courses, maintaining his ability to perform cutting-edge, state-of-the-art therapy in dental implant reconstruction.
