Dr. Poling currently holds privileges at Athens Regional Medical Center (ARMC) which is a certified Stroke Center. He currently is serving as Managing Physician for the Athens Neurology group. He has previously served as the Neurodiagnostic Laboratory director and Therapeutic Plasma Exchange (apheresis) Program director at the hospital.
Pediatric Care
Dr. Bunker received her M.D. from Georgia Regents University (now Augusta University)/University of Georgia Medical Partnership in 2014 after earning her BA in Romance Languages from the University of Georgia, graduating Magna Cum Laude with honors. During medical school her rotation brought her to Athens Neurological Associates (ANA), only to find herself working here as a physician a few years later. She then completed her residency in child neurology at Duke University Medical Center, a 5-year program that included training in general pediatrics, adult neurology, and pediatric neurology. Dr. Bunker is one of only a few pediatric neurologists in the Athens, GA area.
Primary Care
Ms. Teasley holds an M.S. as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Brenau University where she also completed her B.S.N degree after obtaining her B.B.A. in Risk Management and Insurance from the University of Georgia. Ms. Teasely realized her appreciation for the nursing field while she was devoting time helping in a nursing home during her final year at UGA. Immediately after her graduation Ms. Teasley took a clerical position at Athens Regional Medical Center (ARMC) and began to chart her career by serving as a nursing tech in the ARMC emergency department and began attending nursing school. She worked six years in the critical care arena working in Intensive Care Unit as well as the Cardiac Cath Lab. Family Practice
Dr. Bunker is originally from Barnesville, GA. During high school and college, she volunteered with programs for children in her church and community and found working with children who have special health care needs to be personally fulfilling. She was also exposed to medicine at a young age through her mother, who is a family medicine physician, and through helping care for a family member with special health care needs. Through these experiences, she decided to pursue medicine as an adult.

Internal Medicine
Early in her training, Dr. Fleenor was drawn to the study of neurology. She completed her undergraduate degrees in biology and English at the University of Georgia and earned her medical degree from The Medical College of Georgia in 2011. Dr. Fleenor continued her medical training at The Medical College of Georgia where she completed an internship in internal medicine and a residency in neurology. It was during this residency that Dr. Fleenor developed a special interest in neuromuscular disorders while working at the ALS (amyotrophic laterals sclerosis) clinic. Dr. Fleenor completed her medical training with a fellowship in neurophysiology at The Medical College of Georgia in June, 2016. The following month, Dr. Fleenor chose to join Athens Neurological Associates where she benefits from working with the collaborative & dynamic group of physicians. In her free time, Dr. Fleenor loves camping and hiking with her husband and two dogs. She also enjoys reading her favorite authors - Billy Collins and Gabriel García Márquez.
Gastroenterology
Born and raised in Athens, GA, Kim has been a practicing nurse for over 20 years. Kim received her master’s in nursing from Georgia Regents University in 2014. As a Family Nurse Practitioner, Kim’s background includes experience in gastrointestinal enterology with roles at Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center where she worked in the Emergency Department as well as the Cardiac Cath Lab and Northeast Georgia Gastroenterology, before she made her way to Athens Neurological Associates in July 2017. Her desire to help people and caring for her Autistic son led to her volunteering outside of work as a parent-volunteer at ESP (Extra Special People), a community camp that provides opportunities for kids, teens and young adults with special needs. Kim enjoys reading and spending time with her three children and one grandson.

Neurology
Originally from Hogansville, GA, Meagen has both a master’s and bachelor’s in nursing from Columbus State University. Always having a fascination for the complex world of neurology, Meagen grew up exposed to nursing at a very young age and loves finding solutions to patients’ needs. Her background in Critical Care, Home Health and Med-Surg Nursing eventually led her to Athens Neurological Associates, where she fell in love with the fun culture and professionalism of the practice. A mom to three fur babies, Meagen spends her time competing against her husband at Orange Theory, traveling, and attending DragonCon every year.
Neurolysis
Dr. Poling is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN). He has obtained additional subspecialty certifications in both Neuroimaging (Computerized Tomography and Magnetic Resonance based imaging of the nervous system) and Neuromuscular Medicine. He is a Fellow of the American Association of Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine (AANEM). Dr. Poling has special interest in treating patients with autoimmune neurological disorders such as multiple sclerosis, neuropathies, and myasthenia gravis. He also has extensive experience in treating dystonia and chronic migraine with botulinum neurolysis therapy (e.g. Botox).
Autism
Ms. Seagraves is a Georgia native who found her path to Athens, GA from Thomasville while earning her B.S. degree in Exercise and Sports Science at the University of Georgia (UGA). She graduated from UGA with Cum Laude honors and then earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies degree from South University, College of Health Professions in Savannah. Ms. Seagraves brings ten years of medical experience to our practice. She has worked in many facets of patient care including Phase III Cardiac Rehab, MRI and Metabolism and Body Composition. Ms. Seagraves chose to work with Athens Neurological Associates because of the family atmosphere among the employees, the quick pace of work, and because of the physicians' in-depth understanding and experience with autism within their own families. Ms. Seagraves' experience growing up with an autistic older brother attracted her to the neurological field of medicine. She recognized first-hand the importance of patients’ and patients’ families education and decided to dedicate her career towards helping those with conditions that even many in the medical community did not understand comprehensively.

Ms. Teasley decided to join Athens Neurological Associates in 2013 because of the physicians' outstanding reputation and the diversity of patient care provided. Ms. Teasley especially enjoys working in the fields of M.S. and epilepsy and likes being able to provide treatment for patients with both chronic and acute illness. The quick pace of activity at Athens Neurological Associates fits Ms. Teasley well and she feels that she thrives working with a practice that gets to treat such a diverse patient roster on a daily basis.

Psychiatry
A native of South Carolina, Dr. James Elmore attended the University of South Carolina as an undergraduate, making him a lifelong Gamecocks fan. After receiving his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, Dr. Elmore completed his internship at Eastern Virginia Medical School. Entering the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta for his residency, Dr. Elmore became a Diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners. Dr. Elmore is a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, and is a member of the American Academy of Neurology and the Medical Association of Georgia. A voracious reader of literary fiction, Dr. Elmore counts Georgia author, Flannery O'Conner, as one of his favorites. Having honed a lifetime appreciation for nature and its beauty, Dr. Elmore enjoys working in his yard and spending time on his land in South Carolina.

Ultrasound
Employing the same principles involved in sonar, this painless, non invasive test measures both the structure of the carotid arteries, and the movement of blood through blood vessels. The US/TCD gives important information about the site of a stroke and the patient's progress after treatment. Performed by certified ultrasound technicians in our Athens office, this test can also detect abnormalities in blood vessels, lymph nodes and lymphatic vessels as well as evaluate blockages to blood flow.
MRI
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is a painless, noninvasive tool used to obtain clinically useful diagnostic information. This technology provides the clearest and most precise image of brain, cervical spine, lumbar and thoracic tissues in order to provide quick and accurate diagnosis. Unlike other imaging modalities that require the use of radiation, MRI uses a strong magnet field and radio waves to create an image and has no known harmful effects.

Prior to joining the Athens Neurological Associates (ANA) team in July 2018, Anna Beth received her master’s in medical science in physician assistant studies from Mercer University, and her undergrad in biology from North Georgia University. Originally from Cleveland, GA, Anna Beth knew at a young age that she wanted to go into medicine. She began her career working in orthopedics where she discovered her passion for helping people with chronic disease. Forming a bond with patients that is centered around trust, care and long-term impact is what attracted her to ANA.

Botox
Our neurologists employ many different methods to treat painful conditions such as chronic migraines, abnormally contracted muscles from dystonia, stroke, spinal cord injuries and cerebral palsy. Though most people are familiar with the use of Botox to smooth famous faces, it is a highly effective anesthetic when used to alleviate pain caused by muscle tension. Small amounts are injected into stiff muscles to block the signal between the nerve and the muscle in order to relax the rigid muscle and alleviate pain. To ensure patients optimum comfort during the procedure, our highly skilled neurologists use a technique called Electromyography to improve the effectiveness of Botox treatment.
